THE ANNUAL CONVENTION OFFERS CONTINUNG EDUCATION WITH HIGH ATTENDANCE AT THE 8 SESSIONS. 8 HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION ARE AVAILABLE TOWARDS THE RENEWAL OF MEMBERS' ELECTRICAL LICENSES. THE CONVENTION ALSO OFFERS NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES WITH OTHER MEMBERS AND VENDORS. THE TRADESHOW HELD DURING THE CONVENTION ALLOWS CONTRACTORS TO SEE THE LATEST TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES IN MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT.
THE ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT HELD AT COLONIAL COUNTRY CLUB IN THOMASVILLE WAS OPEN TO ASSOCIATION MEMBERS AS A WAY TO RAISE FUNDS WHILE ALLOWING MEMBERS TO ENJOY A TIME OF NETWORKING WITH FELLOW MEMBERS AND TO BECOME UPDATED ON THE LATEST EVENTS & HAPPENINGS WITHIN THE ASSOCATION. ~ 312 MEMBERS ATTENDED THE TOURNAMENT. EXPENSES INCLUDED VENUE RENTAL, RERESHMENTS, ADVERTISING, PRIZES AND ENTERTAINMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS.
NCAEC OFFERS APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAMS IN WHICH TRAINEES CAN WORK WITH LICENSED PROFESSIONALS FOR ON-THE-JOB TRAINING ALONG WITH CLASSROOM STUDY. THESE PROGRAMS ALLOW THE TRAINEES TO GAIN COMPETENCIES THAT WILL ASSIST THEM IN UNDERSTANDING THE PROFESSION, ENCOURAGE NETWORKING WITH PROFESSIONALS AND WORK TOWARD POTENTIALLY EARNING THEIR PROFESSIONAL LICENSE.
