THE GREATER GAINESVILLE AQUATICS ASSOCIATION, INC.'S PRIMARY FOCUS IS TO PROVIDE AN EDUCATIONAL AND COMPETITIVE AQUATICS PROGRAM FOR ALL OF ITS MEMBERS REGARDLESS OF AND AGE AND ABILITY LEVEL. WE PROVIDE A FUN, SAFE AND EXCITING ENVIRONMENT SO THAT TEAM MEMBERS CAN REACH THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL AS ATHLETES AND SWIMMERS, WHILE GAINING THE EXPERIENCE AND VALUE OF HARD WORK AND DEDICATION. IN ADDITION, WE TEACH MORAL AND ETHICAL QUALITIES NECESSARY TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY.

SWIM TEAM MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN GROUPS BASED ON AGE AND ABILITY. THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE EACH OF THE SWIMMERS WITH A TRAINING PROGRAM SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO ACHIEVE PERSONAL GOALS AND FURTHER THEIR SWIMMING ABILITIES. THE TEAM PARTICIPATES IN BOTH USA SWIMMING AND NOVICE COMPETITIONS, THUS OFFERING POTENTIAL EXPOSURE TO LOCAL, STATE, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
