IN FY 2023/24, CAROUSEL SERVED 588 UNDUPLICATED CHILD ABUSE SURVIVORS AND THEIR NON-OFFENDING ADULT CAREGIVERS. OF THE CHILD SURVIVORS LAST YEAR, 39% WERE BRUNSWICK CHILDREN; 40% WERE NEW HANOVER CHILDREN; 18% WERE PENDER CHILDREN; AND 3% WERE FROM OUTSIDE THE TRI-COUNTY AREA. THE TEAM CONDUCTED 301 CHILD MEDICAL EXAMS AND 347 FORENSIC INTERVIEWS; HAD 431 FAMILY ADVOCACY CONTACTS, AND 378 TRAUMA THERAPY SESSIONS PROVIDED TO CHILDREN - REGARDLESS OF INSURANCE, ECONOMIC STATUS, OR ABILITY TO SELF-PAY.
