CRISIS ASSISTANCE NETWORK (CAN) PROVIDES FINANCIAL HELP, GROCERIES AND CLOTHING TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED. DURING THE YEAR ENDED 06/30/22, CAN ASSISTED 768 INDIVIDUALS AND DISTRIBUTED 947,511 POUNDS OF GROCERIES TO 2,474 FAMILIES.
MISCELLANEOUS PROGRAMS INCLUDE: EAGLE'S NEST, WHICH IS TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR SINGLE PARENTS; EAGLE'S NEST II, WHICH IS TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR SINGLE INDIVIDUALS; CASE MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET COUNSELING; RHM WEST AND RHM EAST, WHICH SERVE WESTERN & EASTERN ROWAN COUNTY; JEANNIE'S KITCHEN, AND FOOD FOR THOUGHT WHICH PROVIDED 26,948 WEEKEND BAGS OF FOOD TO FOOD-INSECURE STUDENTS.
THE SHELTER FOR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS. DURING THE YEAR ENDED 06/30/22, RHM PROVIDED 20,347 OVERNIGHTS TO 742 DIFFERENT MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN. NEW TOMORROWS HAD 304 PARTICIPANTS.
