NEW LIFE MINISTRIES TRAINS AND UNDERWRITES SIX FULL-TIME, PART-TIME AND SEASONAL STAFF IN UKRAINE, BELARUS AND LATVIA. IN ADDITION, NEW LIFE MINISTRIES TRAINS AND SPONSORS VOLUNTEER TEAMS IN UKRAINE AND BELARUS THAT TRAVEL TO AND WORK WITH STATE-RUN ORPHANAGES IN THOSE COUNTRIES, ONE WEEKEND A MONTH, SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY. NLM ALSO PROVIDES MATERIAL SUPPORT THAT HAS RANGED FROM WEEK-LONG DENTAL CLINICS TO REPLACING AGED KITCHEN EQUIPMENT, INSTALLING HOT WATER HEATERS, INDUSTRIAL WASHERS AND DRYERS, AND RENOVATIONS OF SHOWERS AND BATHROOMS.
SUMMER CAMPS: NEW LIFE MINISTRIES SPONSORS SUMMER CAMPS IN WESTERN UKRAINE, MOST RECENTLY IN THE TOWN OF TRUSKOVYETS.
THE FRESH START PROGRAM PROVIDES TRANSITION HELP FOR ORPHANS WHO HAVE AGED OUT OF THE STATE-RUN ORPHANAGE SYSTEM. THE PROGRAM HAS APARTMENTS IN LATVIAN CITIES OF REZEKNE AND RIGA, UNDERWRITING APARTMENT RENTS, UTILITIES, FOOD, SCHOOL EXPENSES, TRANSPORTATION, PERSONAL EXPENSES, ETC.
