Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
THE MISSION OF GROWING LEADERS IS TO INSPIRE ORDINARY STUDENTS TO GROW INTO VALUES-ORIENTED LEADERS
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
GROWING LEADERS PROVIDED 240 TRAINING EVENTS FOR APPROXIMATELY 33,000 PEOPLE ACROSS THE UNITED STATES DURING FISCAL YEAR 2022. MOST OF THE EVENTS WERE FOR ADULTS WHO TEACH, COACH, OR MENTOR YOUNG PEOPLE AND TO EQUIP THEM TO BETTER CONNECT WITH THE EMERGING GENERATION. THESE TRAINING EVENTS PREPARED ADULTS TO TEACH SOCIAL EMOTION LEARNING, LEADERSHIP, AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: THE SOFT SKILLS NEEDED FOR STUDENT TO LEAD IN REAL LIFE. SOME EVENTS WERE OFFERED DIRECTLY TO STUDENTS TO INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE THEM TO FULFILL THEIR POTENTIAL AND TAKE ON REAL LIFE OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES WHILE ALSO COPING WITH AN UNPRECEDENTED PANDEMIC. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT THE MATERIAL AND CONTENT OF THESE EVENTS REACHED OVER 3,000 STUDENTS IN FISCAL YEAR 2022. ONE NOTE OF INTERESTS IS THAT THE THIRD QUARTER ACTIVITIES INCREASED OVER PAST YEARS AS THE PANDEMIC DELAYED MANY FIRST QUARTER ACTIVITIES.
GROWING LEADERS PROVIDED DIGITAL CHARACTER, LEADERSHIP, AND SOFT SKILLS TRAINING RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS FROM 632 SCHOOLS, SPORTS TEAMS, AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE. THE PRIMARY CURRICULUM IS CALLED "HABITUDE: IMAGES THAT FORM LEADERSHIP HABITS AND ATTITUDES AND IT USES THE POWER OF IMAGES, CONVERSATIONS, EXPERIENCES TO TEACH IMPORTANT LIFE SKILLS IN A WAY THAT STUDENTS TODAY WANT TO LEARN. THE RESOURCES ARE PROVIDED IN BOTH DIGITAL AND PRINT FORMATS. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT THE RESOURCES WERE SHARED WITH 159,235 STUDENTS IN FISCAL YEAR 2022 BY 15,305 FACILITATORS. GROWING LEADERS ALSO RELEASED YEAR TWO, OF A THREE-YEAR CURRICULUM FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING IN OUR HABITUDES ONLINE PLATFORM.
