THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A BROAD RANGE OF ASSISTANCE TO LOW INCOME AND NEEDY PERSONS LIVING IN THE COMMUNITY. THESE INCLUDE ASSISTANCE TO THE ELDERLY AND VERY YOUNG. IN A TYPICAL YEAR THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FOOD, CLOTHING, JOB SEARCH TRAINING AND MONETARY ASSISTANCE FOR RENT, UTILITIES, DAY CARE AND OTHER CRUCIAL NEEDS OF POOR FAMILIES, HELPING OVER 19,000 HOUSEHOLDS DIRECTLY AND ASSISTING OTHERS IN FINDING AID THROUGH OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS.
