CHRISTMOUNT ADAPTED PROGRAMS INCLUDE CAMP LAKEY GAP FOR AUTISTIC CAMPERS AND SUNSHINE RETREATS FOR ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (I/DD). TOGETHER, THESE PROGRAMS OFFER 8 SEPARATE WEEKS OF OVERNIGHT SUMMER CAMP FOR 12-18 INDIVIDUALS AT A TIME. DURING THE YEAR WE OFFER IN-PERSON SOCIAL GROUPS FOR ADULTS WITH I/DD AS WELL AS BI- WEEKLY SOCIAL GROUPS ONLINE. WE HOST A FALL WEEKEND RETREAT IN COOPERATION WITH WESTERN CAROLINA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND FACULTY.
IN 2022, WE PROVIDED A VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM TO OUR SUMMER OFFERINGS AND HOSTED 5 ADULTS WITH AUTISM AND/OR I/DD FOR 4 WEEKS, PROVIDING THEM WITH AN IMMERSIVE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN VOCATIONAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS.
