TRYON RIDING & HUNT CLUB HORSE TRIALS CONTINUES A LOCAL TRADITION OF OFFERING AN EVENTING EXPERIENCE FOR COMPETITORS OF ALL CAPABILITY AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS. WE PARTNER WITH LOCAL EXPERTS IN THE VARIOUS DISCIPLINES TO CREATE BOTH A COMPETITIVE AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR PARTICIPANTS AT A PROFESSIONAL VENUE MAINTAINED BY A LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. THE EVENT IS CONDUCTED OVER THREE DAYS ON PORPERTY WHICH IS UNDER CONSERVATION EASTMENT. FEES AND DONATIONS PROVIDED AS A PART OF THIS EVENT ARE USED TO SUPPORT THE NON-PROFIT, AS WELL AS OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS.
THE HORSE COUNTRY QUARTERLY IS PUBLISHED FOUR TIMES PER YEAR AND SENT TO TRHC MEMBERS AS WELL AS MADE AVAILABLE TO HORSE LOVERS THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY. IT SHOWCASES TRHC HORSE-RELATED AND COMMUNITY EVENTS, TRHC PHILANTHROPIC OUTREACH, AND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT COLLEGE-BOUND STUDENTS AND STUDENTS PURSUING EQUINE CAREERS. IT STRIVES TO PRESERVE A RESPECT FOR LOCAL TRADITIONS WHILE ADAPTING TO CHANGE IN A HORSE-LOVING COMMUNITY.
THE TRYON RIDING & HUNT CLUBS HERITAGE CHARITY HORSE SHOW WILL RUN FOR ITS 92ND YEAR IN 2019 AND WILL BE AWARDED THE UNITED STATES EQUESTRIAN FEDERATIONS HERITAGE AWARD. THE TRHC CHARITY SHOW IS ONLY THE 27TH SHOW IN THE COUNTRY TO RECEIVE THIS HONOR AS A HISTORICAL SHOW WITH MANY YEARS OF OPERATION. THE SHOW RUNS FOR FIVE DAYS WITH A VARIETY OF JUMPER AND HUNTER DIVISIONS IN MULTIPLE RINGS AT THE TRYON INTERNATIONAL EQUESTRIAN CENTER. TRHC TYPICALLY AWARDS A NUMBER OF PERMANENT TROPHIES EACH YEAR ACROSS AT LEAST A DOZEN DIVISIONS. THE CLUB ALSO HOSTS A CELEBRATORY DINNER ON FRIDAY NIGHT AND A NUMBER OF OTHER SOCIAL EVENTS. TRHC TYPICALLY DOES NOT REALIZE ANY FINANCIAL BENEFITS FROM THIS EVENT BUT CONSIDERS THIS EVENT A GENEROUS GIFT TO THE LOCAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITORS WHO COMPETE AS WELL AS THE MANY FANS WHO COME OUT TO SUPPORT THE SHOW.
