THE PURPOSE FOR FRIENDS OF UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL FRIENDS SHALL BE RENDERING SERVICE TO WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS WVUH AND ITS PATIENTS AND ASSISTING WVUH IN PROMOTING THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY.

GIFTS TO WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS, INC. OF FUNDS AND EQUIPMENT INCLUDING DONATIONS TO WVU CHILDRENS HOSPITALS. HOSPITAL SUPPORT SERVICES INCLUDE FUNDING GIFT BAGS FOR CHILDREN IN THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT, SMALL PLUSH ITEMS FOR CHILDREN RECOVERING IN THE PACU, BATH SCALES TO BE GIVEN TO PATIENTS TO TRACK AND MONITOR THEIR WEIGHT, SUPPLIES FOR LIBRARY SERVICES AND WAITING AREAS, SMALL CRAFT PROJECTS AND GAMES FOR DIVERSION THERAPY AND PATIENT COMFORT ITEMS.
