TO PROVIDE INPATIENT HOSPITAL CARE, OUTPATIENT SERVICES AND EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF TAYLOR COUNTY, WV AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.

THE HOSPITAL PROVIDED HEALTH CARE SERVICES INCLUDING 5,154 EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS, 997 ACUTE HOSPITAL DAYS, 0 LONG-TERM CARE DAYS, 1,516 SWING-BED DAYS, AND 233 SURGERIES. THE HOSPITAL PROVIDED CHARITY CARE WITHOUT CHARGE OR AT LESS THAN ITS ESTABLISHED RATES TO PATIENTS WHO MEET CERTAIN CRITERIA UNDER ITS CHARITY CARE POLICY. CHARGES FOREGONE FOR CHARITY CARE DURING THE YEAR AMOUNTED TO $144,231. ADDITIONALLY, THE HOSPITAL'S RURAL HEALTH CLINIC RECORDED 9,479 VISITS FOR THE YEAR.
