OUR MISSION AS A COMMUNITY HOSPITAL IS TO PROVIDE CARING, COMPASSIONATE AND QUALITY HEALTH SERVICES TO YOU, OUR CLIENT. BASED ON A RELATIONSHIP OF MUTUAL TRUST, WE COMMIT OURSELVES TO RESPOND TO THE NEEDS OF ALL WE SERVE AND STRIVE FOR CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT IN THE CARE WE PROVIDE.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
HEALTH SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO THE RESIDENTS OF GROVE CITY, PA, AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS A FULL SERVICE ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL FACILITY AND HIRES OR CONTRACTS FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS AND ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL. IN ADDITION TO FEE FOR SERVICE ACTIVITIES, THE HOSPITAL PROVIDES SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AT NO CHARGE THROUGH FREE CLINICS, FREE SCREENINGS, AND EDUCATION. CARE IS PROVIDED TO PATIENTS WHO MEET CERTAIN CRITERIA UNDER THE MEDICAID PROGRAM AND THE HOSPITAL'S FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE POLICY WITHOUT CHARGE OR AT AMOUNTS LESS THAN ESTABLISHED RATES. FREE CARE FOR THE CURRENT YEAR AT THE HOSPITAL'S ESTABLISHED RATES APPROXIMATED $146,740. INPATIENT ACUTE CARE SERVICES: A TOTAL OF 1,198 ADMISSIONS WITH A TOTAL OF 4,038 PATIENT DAYS AND 899 OBSERVATION PATIENT HOURS.
OUTPATIENT SERVICES: ANCILLARY TESTING, EMERGENCY CARE, AND CLINIC CARE WERE PROVIDED DURING 98,569 SEPARATE VISITS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR. SERVICES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: LABORATORY, RADIOLOGY, AMBULATORY SURGERY, CHEMOTHERAPY, AND PHYSICAL THERAPY.
EMERGENCY SERVICES: EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICES WERE PROVIDED DURING 15,943 SEPARATE VISITS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING TRADITIONAL EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICES, GROVE CITY MEDICAL CENTER IS LICENSED AS A LEVEL IV TRAUMA CENTER.
