TO FOSTER INTEREST AND PARTICIPATION IN AMATEUR AQUTIC SPORTS AND TO SUPPORT AND DEVELOP AMATEUR ATHLETES FOR AQUATICE SPORTS COMPETITIONS.

THE DAVIS AQUAMONSTERS IS A GRASS ROOTS SWIM TEAM THAT OFFERS SWIMMWERS A VARIETY OF OPTIONS AND IS FOR CHILDREN FROM AGE 5-18. THE SUCCESS OF THE TEAM IS DUE TO THE CORE VALUE OF EVERY SWIMMER IS IMPORTANT REGARDLESS OF TALENT AND SPEED. EVERY MONSTER MATTERS TRULY DESCRIBES THE AQUAMONSTERS TEAM. THERE ARE THREE CORE WAYS WE TRAIN CHILDREN TO ENJOY A LIFELONG EJOYMENT OF THE SPORT OF SWIMMING. OUR PROGRAM SERVED OVER 449 YOUTH IN THE DAVIS AREA IN 2021.THE TEAM FOCUS IS ON TREACHING SWIMMING. AGE APPROPRIATE STOKE AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT ARE TAUGHT CONTINUOUSLY THROUGH THE SEASON.COACHES WORK ON IMPROVING FITNESS FOR EACH OF THE SWIMMERS AND ENCOURAGE MULTI-SPORT ATHLETES.COMPETITION - SWIMMERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO COMPETE BUT IT IS NOT REQUIRED. THE AQUAMONSTERS SWIM COMPETITIVELY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE LOCAL DUAL MEETS; INVITATIONAL MEETS AND WE PARTICIPATE IN THE SACRAMENTO MEET OF CHAMPIONS AND HOST THE LOCAL SUMMER CLASSIC MEET. ADDITIONAL MEETS THAT ARE PART OF USA SWIMMING ARE ALSO OFFERED. IN 2016 WE HAD 3 SWIMMERS MAKE THE JUNIOR NATIONALS.IN LINE WITH OUR MISSION, THE AQUAMONSTERS ALSO PROVIDE SWIMMING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OVER 25 SWIMMERS DUE TO ECONOMIC NEED. AND THE AQUAMONSTERS FULLY INTEGRATE KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS INTO OUR PROGRAM AND HELP THEM BUILD SKILLS AND FITNESS DESPITE THEIR DISABILITIES, WE FOCUS ON WHAT THEY CAN NOT AND NOT WHAT THEY CANT DO.
