THE WORTHINGTON HOOKER PTA SPONSORS A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS AND EVENTS TO FURTHER ITS MISSION OF FOSTERING COMMUNITY AND PROMOTING THE EDUCATION OF OUR CHILDREN.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM - DUE TO THE COVID-RELATED SHUTDOWN, THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM DID NOT RUN IN THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR. IT HAS RESUMED FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR.
SCHOOL CURRICULUM & SUPPORT - ALTHOUGH ON A SOMEWHAT LIMITED BASIS DUE TO COVID, FUNDING WAS PROVIDED TO THE CLASSROOM TEACHERS AND SPECIAL AND SUPPORT TEACHERS TO COVER CLASSROOM SUPPLIES. WE ALSO PROVIDED FUNDING FOR A MATH SUPPORT AND ENRICHMENT TEACHER WHO WAS HIRED AT THE K-2 SCHOOL AFTER DISTRICT FUNDING CUTS ELIMINATED THE POSITION.
SCHOOL EVENTS & PROGRAMS: ALTHOUGH ON A LIMITED BASIS DUE TO COVID, THE PTA ORGANIZES AND FUNDS A NUMBER OF EVENTS TO STRENGTHEN THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN STUDENTS, TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATORS AND PARENTS. WE SUPPORTED THE 8TH GRADE GRADUATION AS WELL AS OTHER GRADE SPECIFIC EVENTS.
DURING THE COVID-RELATED SHUTDOWN, THE PTA CONTINUED TO SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ITS TEACHERS, STUDENTS, ADMINISTRATORS AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE.
