THE MISSION OF THE COUNCIL OF DARIEN SCHOOL PARENTS IS TO PROMOTE AND FURTHER THE WELFARE OF STUDENTS, STAFF, AND SCHOOLS IN DARIEN. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY PROMOTING UNDERSTANDING AND EFFECTIVE COOPERATION BETWEEN PARENTS AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS, BY INCREASING THE AWARENESS OF PARENTS AND TEACHERS ABOUT ISSUES AND TRENDS WHICH AFFECT THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION, AND BY ACTING AS A MEDIUM THROUGH WHICH PARENTS, TEACHERS, STAFF, AND STUDENTS MAY COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER. THE COUNCIL ALSO PROVIDES AND ASSISTS IN PROVIDING FUNDS FOR ITEMS AND EVENTS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE EDUCATION AND WELFARE OF THE STUDENTS, STAFF, AND SCHOOL AS A WHOLE.
