LAKEWOODALIVE IS A 501 (C) 3 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION. OUR MISSION IS SERVING AS A COMMUNITY CENTERED NON-PROFIT THAT FOSTERS AND SUSTAINS VIBRANT NEIGHBORHOODS. OUR VISION IS A WELCOMING COMMUNITY THAT THRIVES ON ENGAGED RESIDENTS, DESIRABLE HOUSING AND AN ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT THAT CONNECT IN STRONG DIVERSE NEIGHBORHOODS TO MAXIMIZE QUALITY OF LIFE. FOSTERING AND SUSTAINING VIBRANT NEIGHBORHOODS IS AT THE HEART OF ALL WE DO AT LAKEWOODALIVE. HOUSING OUTREACH LAKEWOODALIVE ADMINISTERS A HOUSING OUTREACH PROGRAM WHICH CONNECTS RESIDENTS WITH RESOURCES TO MAINTAIN THE COMMUNITY'S AGING HOUSING STOCK. THESE SERVICES ARE DESIGNED TO OFFER A ONE-STOP PLACE FOR RESIDENTS TO ENSURE THEY ARE ABLE TO LIVE IN HEALTHY AND SAFE HOUSING: O WORKING ONE-ON-ONE WITH LOW-MODERATE INCOME RESIDENTS, MANY OF WHOM ARE SENIOR CITIZENS, TO CONNECT THEM TO RESOURCES, AS WELL AS TO VOLUNTEER LABOR TO COMPLETE NECESSARY HOME MAINTENANCE. O THE LAKEWOOD PRIDE FUND, A PROGRAM THAT LEVERAGES A COLLECTION OF FUNDS TO SECURE HOME REPAIR LOANS FOR FAMILIES WHO OTHERWISE MIGHT NOT HAVE ACCESS TO CONVENTIONAL BANK FINANCING. O THE KNOWING YOUR HOME EDUCATIONAL SERIES, WHICH FOCUSES ON SUSTAINABILITY AND MAINTENANCE BEST PRACTICES EMPOWERING HOMEOWNERS TO TACKLE NECESSARY HOME REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS. O THE LAKEWOOD TOOL BOX, WHICH OFFERS COMMUNITY MEMBERS AN AFFORDABLE AND EDUCATIONAL OPTION FOR BORROWING TOOLS THAT ARE ESSENTIAL FOR COMPLETING HOME REPAIRS. O THE PAINT LAKEWOOD PROGRAM, A GRANT PROGRAM FOR LOW-MODERATE INCOME RESIDENTS TO ASSIST WITH OBTAINING AFFORDABLE EXTERIOR HOUSE PAINTING. SMALL BUSINESS SUPPORT SINCE 2004, THE ORGANIZATION HAS WORKED WITH SMALL BUSINESSES IN THE DOWNTOWN DISTRICT AND HAS ADMINISTERED THE DOWNTOWN LAKEWOOD BUSINESS ALLIANCE SINCE 2006. SINCE 2016, THE ORGANIZATION HAS BEEN THE FISCAL AGENT FOR THE UPTOWN LAKEWOOD BUSINESS ALLIANCE AND THE WEST END LAKEWOOD SMALL BUSINESS ASSOCIATION, PROVIDING BOTH FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING SERVICES AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. WE ALSO ADMINISTER A MONTHLY CITY-WIDE BUSINESS MEETING. AS SUCH, LAKEWOODALIVE SMALL BUSINESS SERVICES ARE CITY-WIDE AND NOT EXCLUSIVE TO SPECIFIC DISTRICTS. LAKEWOOD ALIVE MOST RECENTLY PARTNERED WITH THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD TO DISTRIBUTE FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO SMALL BUSINESSES FROM FEDERAL CARES ACT IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. QUALITY OF LIFE PROGRAMMING IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19, LAKEWOODALIVE MOVED ITS IN-PERSON EVENT PROGRAMMING TO VIRTUAL TO KEEP PEOPLE CONNECTED WHILE SAFE IN THEIR HOMES. THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED SEVERAL VIRTUAL EVENTS IN FY 21 INCLUDING THE SPOOKY POOCH PARADE, LIGHT UP LAKEWOOD, SUMMER MELTDOWN AND FRONT PORCH CONCERT SERIES.
