THE JACKSON GENERAL HOSPITAL EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PROVIDES ACUTE CARE SERVICES FOR PATIENTS OF ALL AGES, 24 HOURS A DAY, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, 365 DAYS A YEAR. WITH A LEVEL IV TRAUMA CENTER, ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS ARE SEEN FOR ANY CARDIAC, RESPIRATORY, TRAUMA, OR GENERAL MEDICINE ISSUES. THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT IS STAFFED BY BOARD-CERTIFIED PHYSICIANS AND HIGHLY-SKILLED NURSES. IN 2021, JACKSON GENERAL HOSPITAL HAD 10,507 EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS.
JACKSON GENERAL HOSPITAL HAS ONE RURAL HEALTH CLINIC, TWO PROVIDER-BASED CLINICS AND TWO URGENT CARE CLINICS THAT PROVIDE PRIMARY CARE/FAMILY MEDICINE TO THE RESIDENTS OF JACKSON COUNTY.
