LABECA WOMENS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOW INCOME WOMEN AND GIRLS IN CENTRAL AMERICA, SOUTH AMERICA & THE CARIBBEAN.FOUNDED IN 2005 THE FOUNDATION CURRENTLY SUPPORTS OVER 40 SCHOLARS. SEE SCHEDULE O.

LABECA GIVES SUPPORT THROUGH NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND DIRECT TUITION GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR SCHOOLS. THE FUNDS PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR LOW-INCOME WOMEN & GIRLS WHO ARE PURSING EDUCATIONAL OPBJECTIVES. IN SOME CASES, FUNDS WERE PROVIDED FOR COMPUTERS TO ENABLE SCHOLARS TO ATTEND CLASS ON-LINE. IN 2021 STUDENTS IN UNIVERSITY STUDIED DENTISTRY, MEDICINE, NURSING, TOURISM, FINANCE, AND BUSINESS. LABECA SCHOLARS GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND SUBSEQUENTLY ENROLLED AS A UNIVERSITY STUDENT IN HONDURAS. THE REST ARE IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS WITH MANY IN BILINGUAL PROGRAMS.
