HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND CULTURAL APPRECIATION: PREPARED PUBLIC COMMENTS ON THE LOUDOUN COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE REWRITE URGING PROTECTION OF RURAL HISTORIC VILLAGES AND SUCCESSFULLY ENCOURAGED NEIGHBORS TO SUBMIT COMMENTS ON THESE ISSUES. ENGAGED IN EFFORTS TO OBTAIN RURAL HISTORIC VILLAGE DESIGNATION FOR UNISON. VOICED CONCERNS ABOUT HAPHAZARD DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL LAND IN WESTERN LOUDOUN COUNTY. HOSTED COMMUNITY GATHERINGS ON LOCAL HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT ISSUES AND THREATS. ISSUED QUARTERLY NEWSLETTERS COVERING LOCAL CULTURAL AND AGRICULTURAL TOPICS. PROMOTED A SENSE OF COMMUNITY THROUGH HOSTING ACTIVITIES AT THE HISTORIC UNISON GENERAL STORE INCLUDING YOGA CLASSES, ART INSTRUCTION, AND OUTDOOR CONCERTS. UPGRADED AND MAINTAINED THE GENERAL STORE.
