DISASTER TEAM WAS ABLE TO RESPOND TO 13 MAJOR DISASTERS IN AL, GA, TX, CA, MS, AR, TN, VT, AND HI. THEY DELIVERED INTO THOSE DISASTERS 91 TRACTOR TRAILER LOADS OF RELIEF SUPPLIES WITH A VALUE OF $3.7 MILLION AND TOTALING 2.8 MILLION POUNDS. THE TEAM ALSO PROVIDED TOYS TO HUNDREDS OF FAMILIES IN CLARKSVILLE, TN AFTER IT WAS DEVASTATED BY A TORNADO TWO WEEKS BEFORE CHRISTMAS TO FAMILIES WHO LOST THEIR HOMES AND THE CHRISTMAS GIFTS STORED IN THEIR HOMES.
THE BLESSING BUCKET PROGRAM CONTINUED TO GROW IN VOLUNTEER PARTICIPATION AND WERE ABLE TO ASSEMBLE AND DISTRIBUTE 21,288 BLESSING BUCKETS FILLED WITH WATER, FOOD, HYGIENE SUPPLIES AND FIRST AID KITS TO ASSIST DISASTER VICTIMS.
THE REGIONAL DISTRIBUTION TEAM WAREHOUSED, SORTED, PACKAGED AND DISTRIBUTED 4.7 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD, WATER, BEVERAGE, AND SUNDRIES WITH A GIFTS IN KIND VALUE OF $5.9 MILLION TO OVER 45 AGENCIES IN OUR REGION.
