THROUGHOUT THE 2023 FISCAL YEAR, ISLA CONTINUED TO ENGAGE IN FOUNDATIONAL RESEARCH ON ISLAMIC SCHOOLS AND TO PROVIDE RELEVANT AND TIMELY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO ISLAMIC SCHOOL EDUCATORS ACROSS NORTH AMERICA AND, THROUGH VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING, ACROSS THE GLOBE. SPECIFICALLY, ISLA HOSTED MONTHLY VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING FOR 500+ EDUCATORS, PROVIDED 30 HOURS OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS TO HUNDREDS OF EDUCATORS ON TOPICS INCLUDING EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY, DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION AND CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT. ISLA ALSO HOSTED SEVERAL STUDENT-FACING PROGRAMS SUCH AS WEEKLY AUTHOR READ ALOUDS DURING RAMADAN, SERVING OVER 400 STUDENTS GLOBALLY.
