THE BEXAR COUNTY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE AN EXCEPTIONAL HOME FOR THE ARTS THAT PROMOTES A DIVERSE RANGE OF CULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND ARTISTIC EXPERIENCES TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN SAN ANTONIO. IN 2021, WHILST STILL IN THE MIDST OF THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, THE TOBIN CENTER HOSTED 360 EVENTS THAT BROUGHT THE VERY BEST OF THE PERFORMING ARTS WORLD TO SAN ANTONIO. THE VENUE WELCOMED APPROXIMATELY ONE HUNDRED AND SEVEN THOUSAND VISITORS THROUGH ITS DOORS. THROUGH ITS EDUCATION PROGRAMS, THE TOBIN CENTER SERVED OVER EIGHTY THOUSAND CHILDREN IN BEXAR COUNTY BOTH IN PERSON AND VIRTUALLY. THE TOBIN CENTER IS HOME TO SIX RESIDENT ARTS ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING THE SAN ANTONIO SYMPHONY, OPERA SAN ANTONIO AND BALLET SAN ANTONIO.
