GNBL INC. SHALL OPERATE EXCLUSIVELY AS A NON-PROFIT EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION PROVIDING A SUPERVISED PROGRAM OF COMPETITIVE BASEBALL GAMES.

GREAT NECK BASEBALL LEAGUE IS A RECREATIONAL PONY LEAGUE IN VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA. WE ARE HOME TO YOUTH BASEBALL INCLUDING, T-BALL, PINTO, MUSTANG, BRONCO, PONY & COLT LEAGUES. WE ALSO HAVE PONY ELITE TEAMS THAT COMPETE WITH OTHER PONY ELITE LEAGUES AND AAU TEAMS IN THE AREA. THERE ARE OVER 825 KIDS IN THE PROGRAM. AT THE END OF EACH SPRING SEASON WE HOST THE 12U BATTLE OF THE BEACH TOURNAMENT EVERY SUMMER. WE AT GNBL ARE ALSO PROUD TO SEND A 12 YEAR OLD TEAM EVERY YEAR TO COMPETE AT COOPERSTOWN, NY. TO COMPETE AGAINST 143 OTHER TEAMS. THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY FOR 12 YEAR OLDS ONLY. AT THE END OF EACH SPRING SEASON WE FORM ALLSTAR TEAMS AND STATE TEAMS. THESE TEAMS ARE COMMITTED TO PLAY AT A HIGHER LEVEL AND TO POSSIBLY GET A CHANCE TO PLAY AT THE PONY WORLD SERIES. WE ARE COMMITTED TO SERVE THE VB COMMUNITY AND WELCOME CHILDREN WHO ARE ALSO NOT ABLE TO PAY DUE TO LACK OF FUNDS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ANY PROGRAM AT GNBL. WE WELCOME ANY CHILD REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY. DURING THE OFF SEASONS FOR BASEBALL, WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE CAMPS FOR CHILDREN WHO WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE OR CHILDREN WHO ARE WANTING TO LEARN THE GAME. WE AT GNBL ARE COMMITTED TO TEACHING ALL PLAYERS THE FUNDAMENTALS OF BASEBALL, BUT WE ARE EQUALLY DEDICATED TO DEVELOP THE CHARACTERISTICS OF GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP, RESPECT AND TOLERANCES OF YOUR TEAMMATES, OPPONENTS, AND UMPIRES; UNDERSTANDING AND ABIDING BY THE RULES OF THE GAME; PERSEVERANCE TO CONTINUE TRYING THROUGHOUT THE GAME, REGARDLESS OF THE GAME'S SCORE; AND GRACIOUSNESS IN BOTH VICTORY AND DEFEAT. GNBL IS NOT JUST ABOUT BASEBALL, WE ARE A COMMUNITY; A FAMILY AS WE CALL IT. WE HOST AN ANNUAL DRIVE FOR HOMELESS MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL CHILDREN. IN THE PAST THIS HAS ATTRACTED BASEBALL PLAYERS AND RESIDENTS FROM NORFOLK, PORTSMOUTH AND CHESAPEAKE. WE HOLD SPRING/FALL FESTIVALS WHERE ANYONE IS INVITED TO OUR FIELDS TO ENJOY A RELAXING DAY OF FUN ACTIVITIES AND MORE.
