ST. ANDREW'S SCHHOL IS ONE OF A HANDFUL OF SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY EDUCATING CHILDREN FROM FAMILIES WITH LIMITED FINANCIAL RESOURCES THROUGH A FULL SCHOLARSHIP FOR EVERY CHILD. THE SCHOOL'S WHOLE-CHILD APPROACH INCLUDES ACADEMICS, SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING, WELLNESS AND NUTRITION, VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS, GRADUATE SUPPORT, AND FAMILY ENGAGEMENT THOUGH A COLLABORATIVE PARNERSHIP. OUR EXTENDED SCHOOL DAY BALANCES ACADEMIC SUPPORT WITH PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES. WITH OUR EXTENDED YEAR AND EXTENDED DAY, OUR 84 STUDENTS IN GRADES K-5 ARE ENGAGED FOR MORE THAN 1400 HOURS ANNUALLY, COMPARED TO THE TRADITIONAL 990 HOURS. OUR STUDENT-CENTERED CURRICULUM PROVIDES STUDENTS MORE EXPOSURE TO PROJECT-BASED LEARNING AND INTEGRATED ACTIVITIES WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS. OUR DEDICATED FACULTY ENGAGES IN TEACHER COLLABORATION AND EMBEDDED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DURING THE SCHOOL DAY WHICH STRENGTHENS CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION AND INCREASES STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT.
