SPRING TRIP: THE STUDENTS IN THE CONCERT AND SYMPHONIC BANDS TRAVELED TO NEW YORK CITY AND BOSTON FOR FOUR DAYS. THEY ATTENDED MUSICAL EVENTS, RECEIVED CLINICS FROM PROFESSIONAL AND COLLEGIATE MUSICIANS, AND PARTICIPATED IN OTHER EDUCATIONAL EVENTS.
MARCHING BAND: THE MARCHING BAND AT YORKTOWN HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMS DURING THE HALFTIME OF VARSITY FOOTBALL GAMES. THE BAND ALSO PARTICIPATES IN COMPETITIONS IN THE REGION AND IS ASSESSED BY VIRGINIA BAND & ORCHESTRA DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION ADJUDICATORS. IN ADDITION, THE BAND ATTENDS A ONE-WEEK CAMP IN AUGUST TO LEARN THEIR ROUTINE FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR. YORKTOWN BAND BOOSTERS PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THESE PERFORMANCES, INCLUDING UNIFORMS, PROPS, AND TRAVEL.
INDOOR DRUMLINE: INDOOR DRUMLINE IS A PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE THAT PERFORMS IN COMPETITIONS THROUGHOUT THE REGION.
