THE VIRGINIA CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR HEALTHCARE RISK MANAGEMENT PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR OVER 100 HEALTHCARE RISK MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA. THE MAJOR SERVICE PROVIDED IS THE FACILITATION OF TWO EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS A YEAR, EACH 1 1/2 DAYS IN LENGTH. THE MEETING PARTICIPANTS ARE ABLE TO GAIN VALUABLE INFORMATION AND PARTICIPATE IN NETWORKING ACTIVITIES WHICH ASSIST THEM IN BEING MORE EFFECTIVE IN ORGANIZATIONS FOR WHICH THEY WORK.
