CHILD CARE - SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO CHILDREN TO ENABLE THEIR PARENTS TO WORK AT THE CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY AND OTHER BUSINESSES. THE WESTMINSTER CANTERBURY RICHMOND CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER VIEWS EACH CHILD AS AN INDIVIDUAL. WE ENCOURAGE CHILDREN TO REACH HIS/HER FULLEST POTENTIAL BY OFFERING POSITIVE EXPERIENCES THAT PROMOTE ALL ASPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT. OPPORTUNITIES ARE PROVIDED FOR CHILDREN TO MAKE DISCOVERIES THAT INCREASE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS. HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES ENCOURAGE CHILDREN TO BE ACTIVE AND CREATIVE. EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON DEVELOPING SELF-CONFIDENCE, RESPONSIBILITY, SOCIAL COOPERATION, AND PROBLEM SOLVING.
