THE MONTPELIER HUNT RACES ARE INTENDED TO PERPETUATE THE HISTORIC EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES AND PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF MONTPELIER, THE HOME OF JAMES AND DOLLEY MADISON. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021, THE RACES HAD TO BE CANCELLED DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC AND THE RISK IN LARGE GROUPS CONGREGATING AND FOLLOWING THE SUGGESTED GUIDELINES OF HEALTH PROFESSIONALS. THE INFRASTRUCTURE WAS MAINTAINED THROUGH THE HIATUS AND GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING MONTPELIER, WERE MADE.
