SINCLAIR HEALTH CLINIC PROVIDES PHARMACY SERVICES AND COMPREHENSIVE PRIMARY CARE TO PEOPLE LIVING IN VIRGINIA WHO ARE EXPERIENCING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND WHO ARE UNINSURED OR UNDERINSURED. THEY PROVIDE CASE MANAGEMENT TO HELP PATIENTS ADDRESS NON-CLINICAL NEEDS THAT IMPACT HEALTH.

DURING FY22, SINCLAIR HEALTH CLINIC MADE SIGNIFICANT STRIDES IN ITS MISSION TO MAKE QUALITY HEALTHCARE ACCESSIBLE TO THOSE IN OUR COMMUNITY FACING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP. THE CLINIC SERVED A RECORD-BREAKING 1840 PATIENTS AND FILLED ALMOST 14,500 PRESCRIPTIONS. THE CLINIC ADDED NEW SERVICES, EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES, STAFF, AND VOLUNTEERS, MAKING IT A COMPREHENSIVE ONE-STOP-SHOP FOR HEALTHCARE AND RESOURCE ASSISTANCE THROUGH CASE MANAGERS CONNECTING PATIENTS TO OTHER COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND RESOURCES. NOTABLY, THE CLINIC GREW ITS FULL-TERM PRENATAL AND DIABETIC RETINOPATHY SCREENING PROGRAMS AND EXPANDED ITS BILINGUAL CASE MANAGEMENT TEAM, AMONG OTHER SERVICES. WITH 57 PERCENT OF PATIENTS LIVING AT OR BELOW THE POVERTY LINE, THE CLINIC'S COMMUNITY-FOCUSED APPROACH EMPHASIZES COORDINATED TEAM CARE AND INTEGRATES NON-MEDICAL LIFE ISSUES THAT CONTRIBUTE TO MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH PROBLEMS. VOLUNTEERS PLAYED A CRUCIAL ROLE IN THIS APPROACH, CONTRIBUTING OVER 6,712 HOURS IN FY22. WORD-OF-MOUTH REFERRALS JUMPED BY 30% DUE TO A MORE STREAMLINED ENROLLMENT PROCESS AND A HIGH PATIENT SATISFACTION SCORE OF 4.8 OF 5 STARS. IN ADDITION TO KEEPING OUR DOORS OPEN AND CARING FOR OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH THE PANDEMIC, SINCLAIR HEALTH CLINIC HELPED THE WIDER COMMUNITY. SINCLAIR HEALTH CLINIC PARTNERED WITH VALLEY HEALTH SYSTEM AND HELPED RECRUIT, STAFFED, AND PROVIDED HUMAN RESOURCE SUPPORT FOR THE COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINIC AT THE APPLE BLOSSOM MALL, WHICH ADMINISTERED THOUSANDS OF VACCINATIONS. SINCLAIR HEALTH CLINIC ALSO DISTRIBUTED THOUSANDS OF MASKS, DISTRIBUTED COVID TESTS, AND PERFORMED HUNDREDS OF COVID TESTS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF OUR COMMUNITY.
