THE SICK PLAN PROVIDES A BENEFIT TO ELIGIBLE UNION MEMBERS WHO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE PLAN, WHO ARE UNABLE TO WORK BECAUSE OF SICKNESS OR INJURY, AND WHO HAVE EXHAUSTED THE SICK LEAVE, ANNUAL LEAVE, ADVANCE LEAVE AND OTHER AVAILABLE BENEFITS PROVIDED BY THEIR EMPLOYER(S).
THE DEATH PLAN PROVIDES A DEATH BENEFIT FOR ELIGIBLE UNION MEMBERS WHO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE PLAN AND WHO DIE BEFORE THE PLAN TERMINATES. THE DEATH BENEFIT PROVIDED IN THIS PLAN IS PAYABLE TO THE NAMED BENEFICIARY(IES) OF THE DECEASED ELIGIBLE UNION MEMBER.
THE SCHOLARSHIP PLAN PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ELIGIBLE DEPENDENTS OF UNION MEMBERS BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THOSE WHO MEET THE CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY AND WHO ARE SELECTED PURSUANT TO ARTICLE III.C.
