THE MISSION OF ACCESS INDEPENDENCE IS TO PROMOTE INDEPENDENT LIVING BY PROVIDING SERVICES THAT ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES LIVING IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA.

ACCESS INDEPENDENCES OUTREACH EFFORTS INCLUDE COMMUNITY EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT EMPOWERING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, AND THEIR FAMILIES TO BECOME TO BECOME BETTER ADVOCATES FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING. ACCESS INDEPENDENCE ALSO PROVIDES AN ARRAY OF SERVICES TO BUSINESSES, OTHER COMMUNITY OGANIZATIONS, AND GOVERNMENT ENTITIES. ACCESS INDEPENDENCE PROVIDED 1,311 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICES AND 1,240 HOURS OF INFORMATION AND REFERRAL.
