THE ADULT CARE CENTER OF ROANOKE VALLEY PROVIDES DAYTIME ADULT DAY HEALTH SERVICES TO ADULTS IN THE FIFTH PLANNING DISTRICT. THE MAJORITY OF OUR PARTICIPANTS RESIDE IN THE CITIES OF ROANOKE AND SALEM AND THE COUNTY OF ROANOKE. WE ALSO SERVE CITIZENS OF BOTETOURT, CRAIG, BEDFORD AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES. IN OUR FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022 WE PROVIDED SERVICE TO APPROXIMATELY 49 PARTICIPANTS AND THEIR CAREGIVERS. OUR CENTER IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 7AM TO 6PM TO PROVIDE CARE AND SOCIALIZATION FOR DEPENDENT ADULTS. EACH DAY OUR TRAINED STAFF PROVIDES 2 SNACKS, A HOT LUNCH, INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP ACTIVITIES, OUTINGS, HEALTH MONITORING, MEDICATION MANAGEMENT, SUPERVISION FOR RISK OF FALLS AND ASSISTANCE WITH TOILETING, FEEDING, REDIRECTION AND TRANSFER AS NEEDED.
