ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING APRIL 30, 2024 INCLUDE: INVESTED 350,000 INTO 29 DIFFERENT COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS VIA THE ANNUAL COMMUNITY IMPACT FUND. 33 BUSINESSES AND 1,046 INDIVIDUALS DONATED TO UNITED WAY OF HARRISONBURG AND ROCKINGHAM COUNTY. DONORS CONTRIBUTING 500 OR MORE ARE MEMBERS OF THE SKYLINE LEADERSHIP SOCIETY. DONORS CONTRIBUTING 10,000 OR MORE IN ONE YEAR ARE MEMBERS OF THE ALEXIS DE TOCQUEVILLE SOCIETY. DONORS WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED 50,000 OR MORE OVER A LIFE TIME ARE MEMBERS OF THE CHARLES AND DOROTHY WAMPLER SOCIETY. LAUNCHED THE ROCKBURG CARES NETWORK, A DIRECT SERVICE PROGRAM THAT SUPPORTS WORKING HOUSEHOLDS THROUGH RESOURCE NAVIGATION, DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, AND FINANCIAL EDUCATION WHICH SERVED OVER 800 HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS IN ITS FIRST YEAR. MOBILIZED A TOTAL OF 469 VOLUNTEERS WHO CONTRIBUTED 2,809 HOURS OF SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH UNITED WAY, FOR A VALUE OF 89,326. HOSTED THE ANNUAL DAY OF ACTION IN WHICH 283 VOLUNTEERS WORKED WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO MAKE RENOVATIONS ON FACILITIES, COMPLETE LANDSCAPING PROJECTS, PREPARE MEALS AND HELP WITH CLIENTS. HOSTED TOOLS FOR SCHOOL EVENT WHICH ENGAGED 29 BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COLLECTION OF SCHOOL SUPPLIES, COLLABORATED WITH 18 ORGANIZATIONS TO HOST A RESOURCE FAIR FOR FAMILIES, AND SAW 407 FAMILIES ATTEND TO ACCESS SUPPLIES FOR THE BACK-TO-SCHOOL SEASON. THE EVENT DISTRIBUTED 82,835 WORTH OF SUPPLIES TO LOCAL FAMILIES.
