ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING APRIL 30, 2022 INCLUDE: INVESTED 1,095,805 INTO THE COMMUNITY VIA THE ANNUAL COMMUNITY IMPACT FUND. 64 BUSINESSES AND 1,166 INDIVIDUALS CONTRIBUTED TO THE ANNUAL FUND. DONORS CONTRIBUTING 500 OR MORE ARE MEMBERS OF THE SKYLINE LEADERSHIP SOCIETY. DONORS CONTRIBUTING 10,000 OR MORE IN ONE YEAR ARE MEMBERS OF THE ALEXIS DE TOCQUEVILLE SOCIETY. DONORS WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED 20,000 OR MORE OVER A LIFE TIME ARE MEMBERS OF THE CHARLES AND DOROTHY WAMPLER SOCIETY. CONTINUED LEADERSHIP OF VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT IN OUR COMMUNITY VIA GET CONNECTED, A VOLUNTEER PORTAL ON OUR UNITED WAY WEBSITE MATCHING COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES. MOBILIZED A TOTAL OF 466 VOLUNTEERS WHO CONTRIBUTED 4,404 HOURS OF SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH UNITED WAY, FOR A VALUE OF 125,690 HOSTED THE ANNUAL DAY OF ACTION IN WHICH 45 VOLUNTEERS WORKED WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO MAKE RENOVATIONS ON FACILITIES, COMPLETE LANDSCAPING PROJECTS, PREPARE MEALS AND HELP WITH CLIENTS. CONDUCTED ANNUAL STUFF THE BUS EVENT, ALTHOUGH VIRTUALLY THIS YEAR, TOGETHER WITH HARRISONBURG RADIO GROUP, AS WELL AS HARRISONBURG CITY AND ROCKINGHAM COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS. THE EFFORT RESULTED IN RAISING 83,513 ALL OF WHICH WAS PUT TOWARD PURCHASE SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR LOCAL FAMILIES. SUCCESSFUL TRANSITIONED OUR HOME REPAIR INITIATIVE, BUILD UNITED, OVER TO OUR PARTNERS AT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, WHOSE MISSION ALIGNS MORE CLOSELY WITH THE WORK OF OUR BUILD UNITED INITIATIVE. HOSTED THE SECOND ANNUAL GREATEST NEEDS DRIVE, COLLECTING 7,782 WORTH OF ITEMS NEEDED BY LOCAL NONPROFITS AND THEIR CLIENTS.
