EDUCATION, GRANTS, AND RESEARCH - PURPOSE IS TO STUDY THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIVERSE ENERGY RESOURCES, INCLUDING CLEAN ENERGY; TO STUDY EMERGING ISSUES IN THE ELECTRIC POWER AND NATURAL GAS INDUSTRIES, INCLUDING COMPETITIVE MARKET FORCES, ENERGY SECURITY AND RESILIENCE, AND SYSTEM PLANNING AS IT RELATES TO GRID MODERNIZATION; TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION ABOUT NEW UTILITY COMMISSIONS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES WORLDWIDE; AND TO FACILITATE TRAINING AND CONSULTING SUPPORT TO STATE COMMISSIONS.

THESE POLICY POSITIONS ARE SUBSEQUENTLY ADOPTED BY THE NARUC BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO REPRESENT THE CONSENSUS VIEWS OF NARUC'S MEMBERSHIP.
