TO ADVANCE KNOWLEDGE AND IMPROVE PRACTICE IN SERVING CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH COMMUNICATION DISORDERS THROUGH SUPPORT OF RESEARCH, EDUCATION, AND INNOVATIVE INITIATIVES.

SCHOLARSHIPS, RESEARCH GRANTS AND CLINICAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS - NATIONALLY COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS FOSTER ADVANCES AND SCHOLARLY EXCELLENCE. IN 2023, THE ASHFOUNDATION AWARDED $824,829 THROUGH 75 RESEARCH GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS AND CLINICAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS IN SUPPORT OF RESEARCH INVESTIGATIONS, DOCTORAL AND MASTER'S EDUCATION, AND CLINICAL DEVELOPMENTS. IN ADDITION TO THE RECIPIENT FUNDING, EXPENSES INCLUDE THE COST OF PREPARING AND DISTRIBUTING GUIDELINES, THE SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS AND UNDERWRITING ATTENDANCE AT SELECTED SCHOLARLY ACTIVITIES.


PROGRAM COMMUNICATION - PROGRAM VISIBILITY IS ACHIEVED THROUGH A VARIETY OF COMMUNICATION VEHICLES, SUCH AS ARTICLES IN THE ASSOCIATION PUBLICATIONS DISTRIBUTED TO OVER 234,244 CONSTITUENTS AND ASSOCIATES, AS WELL AS THE FOUNDATION ANNUAL REPORT, NEWSLETTERS, SPECIAL PROGRAM MATERIALS, AND ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION.


ASHA CONVENTION - THE ASHFOUNDATION PROMOTES AND CONDUCTS MISSION RELATED PROGRAMS DURING THE ANNUAL ASSOCIATION MEETING, WHICH WAS ATTENDED BY APPROXIMATELY 15,535 MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION'S TOTAL 234,244 MEMBERS
