DISTRIBUTION OF NEWSLETTERS TO MEMBERS AND MEETINGS THE ORGANIZATIN'S NEWSLETTERS SERVE TO INFORM AND EDUCATE MEMBERS OF THE VARIOUS ISSUES THAT FACE PROPERTY OWNERS OF DEEP CREEK LAKE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LAKE WATER LEVELS, WATER QUALITY, BOAT NOISE AND THE THREE PRINCIPAL LAND ORDINANCE REVISIONS (DEEP CREEK WATERSHED ZONING ORDINANCE, GARRETT COUNTY SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE AND THE GARRETT COUNTY SENSITIVE AREAS ORDINANCE).


SPONSORSHIPS THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS VARIOUS LOCAL FESTIVALS, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENTS BY MAKING CONTRIBUTIONS IN SUPPORT OF THE RECIPIENTS' EFFORTS. IN THE CURRENT YEAR THE ORGANIZATION HAS PROVIDED INFORMATION ABOUT A VARIETY OF ISSUES INCLUDING MARCELLUS SHALE GAS AND HYDRILLA CONTROL TREATMENT.
