SACRAMENTO UNITED SOCCER CLUB, INC. ORGANIZED AND TRAINED 249 GIRLS AND 391 BOYS. THE TRAINEES ENJOYED A YEAR ROUND PROGRAM OF CLUB WIDE ACTIVITIES AND TEAM TRAINING SESSIONS AND CLINICS. THEY ALSO PARTICIPATED IN SPRING, SUMMER, WINTER AND FALL PLAYING LEAGUES. THE CLUB HOSTED TOURNAMENTS AND JAMBOREEES TO PROVIDE COMPETETIVE OPPORTUNITIES IN WHICH THE CHILDREN COULD TEST THEIR SKILLS AND DEVELOP AS TEAMS. THE TOURNAMENTS, JAMOBREES AND OTHER FUNDRAISING EVENTS ALSO GENERATED SUPPLEMENTAL INCOME TO FUND THE CLUB'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND FIELD DEVELOPMENT NEEDS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AT NO CHARGE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR CHILDREN TO IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. THESE TRAININGS TOOK PLACE ON MANY WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY EVENINGS. COACHES DID FREE OUTREACH TO LOCAL SOCCER CLUBS. WINTER CAMP WAS OPEN TO ALL YOUTH PLAYERS AND WAS PROVIDED AT NO CHARGE. SUMMER TEAM CAMP WAS OPEN TO ALL SACRAMENTO UNITED PLAYERS AT NO CHARGE.
