THIS MISSION OF THE CALIFORNIA YOUTH SOCER ASSOCIATION, INC., IS TO SERVE ALL CHILDREN AND OUR COMMUNITIES BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES THAT ALLOW EACH CHILD TO GROW, LEARN, MATURE, AND SUCCEED BY BECOMING PRODUCTIVE ADULT MEMBERS OF SOCIETY THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT.

COACH AND PLAYER DEVELOPMENT: THE CYSA COACHING PROGRAM OFFERS ALL AFFILIATED LEAGUES THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONDUCT WORKSHOPS AND TO CONDUCT CERTIFICATION AND LICENSING OF COACHES, OFFICIALS, AND PLAYERS. PLAYER DEVELOPEMENT INCLUDES THE OLYMPIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM WHICH OFFERSTHE MOST ADVANCED PLAYERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE SEEN AND ASSESSED BY REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND COLLEGE COACHES.
ASSOCIATION: CYSA- CAL NORTH PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUTH PLAYERS OF ALL SKILL LEVELS TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCCER PROGRAMS. IN FY 2019-20 THERE WERE OVER 18,482 YOUTH PARTICIPANTS REGISTERED WITH CYSA. THE ORGANIZATION WAS SERIOUSLY IMPACTED DUE TO MANDATED SHUTDOWN DUE TO PANDEMIC. DURING THE YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED PPP LOAN FORGIVENESS OF $164,915 WHICH IS INCLUDED AS GRANTS HERE.
COMPETITION AND COMPLEXES: OPEN COMPETITION AT THREE LEVELS OF SKILL FOR U-10 THROUGH U-19 AGE GROUPS. THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF COMPETITION IS THE STATE QUALIFIER FOR THE US YOUTH SOCCER NATIONAL CHAMPTIONSHIP SERIES.
