TO PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH LITERATURE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY AT THE LOWEST SUSTAINABLE PRICES, COVERING MATHEMATICS AND OTHER SELECTED FIELDS, TO IMPROVE THE SCIENTIFIC-PUBLISHING ENVIRONMENT, AND TO FACILITATE SCHOLARLY COMMUNICATION.

PUBLISHING ITS OWN PUBLICATIONS:THE ORGANIZATION PUBLISHES 13 RESEARCH JOURNALS IN MATHEMATICS AND RELATED DISCIPLINES, AND TWO OPEN-ACCESS BOOK/CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS SERIES. MOST OF THE JOURNALS ARE AVAILABLE ON A SUBSCRIPTION BASIS. IN 2021, MSP PUBLISHED ABOUT 17,000 PAGES IN ITS OWN PUBLICATIONS.


SOFTWARE SERVICES:THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SOFTWARE-BASED SERVICES FOR SCIENTIFIC PUBLISHING. FOR ITS OWN USE, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES PUBLISHERS DEVELOPED THE EDITORIAL-WORKFLOW SOFTWARE PLATFORM CALLED "EDITFLOW" WHICH HELPS MANAGE SUBMISSIONS, PEER REVIEW, AND PRODUCTION OF SCIENTIFIC JOURNALS. MSP ALSO LICENSES THIS SOFTWARE TO ABOUT ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY OTHER MATHEMATICS-RESEARCH JOURNALS, INCLUDING THOSE OF THE AMERICAN MATHEMATICAL SOCIETY, THE LONDON MATHEMATICAL SOCIETY (UK), AND THE CANADIAN MATHEMATICAL SOCIETY.


PUBLISHING SERVICES:THE ORGANIZATION PERFORMS SERVICES FOR PUBLICATIONS WHICH IT DOES NOT OWN. IT PROVIDES ALL SUBSCRIPTION, PRODUCTION, AND PUBLISHING FUNCTIONS FOR THE "PACIFIC JOURNAL OF MATHEMATICS" (A CALIFORNIA NON-PROFIT RESEARCH JOURNAL), THE "ANNALS OF K-THEORY" (A NEW JERSEY NON-PROFIT RESEARCH JOURNAL), AND FOR THE JOURNALS "MATHEMATICS AND MECHANICS OF COMPLEX SYSTEMSX AND "JOURNAL OF SOFTWARE FOR ALGEBRA AND GEOMETRY." IT IS ALSO PREPARING FOR PUBLISHING THE CONTENT OF THREE JOURNALS OF THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN MATHEMATICS CONSORTIUM. IN 2021, MSP PUBLISHED OR PREPARED ABOUT 7,000 PAGES FOR THIRD-PARTY PUBLICATIONS.
