THE ORGANIZATION HAS PURCHASED OVER 4000 GUITARS AND DELIVERED THEM TO PARTICAPATING MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOLS IN LOUISIANA AND OTHER STATES. THE GUITARS WENT TO NEEDY CHILDREN WHO WERE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LITTLE KIDS ROCK MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM. IN ADDITION, EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS FOR THE CHILDREN AND THE MUSIC TEACHERS WERE DISTRIBUTED.THE LOCAL SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNIZED THE ORGANIZATION FOR ITS EFFORTS TO BRING MUSIC EDUCATION BACK INTO THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT. MANY INDIVIDUAL STORIES WERE RELAYED TO THE ORGANIZATION TELLING OF GREAT IMPROVEMENTS IN STUDENTS ATTITUDES AND PERFORMANCE IN OTHER CLASS SETTINGS.IN 2007 THE FESTIVAL & FOUNDATION EXPANDED ITS PROGRAM OF GIVING GUITARS TO HOSPITAL PROGRAMS DEDICATED TO THE CARE OF CHILDREN. GUITARS HAVE BEEN PURCHASED AND DONATED TO THE SHRINER'S CHILDRENS HOSPITAL AND TO THE ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL. THIS NEW OUTLET TO PROGRAMS BEING SPONSORED BY THESE HOSPITALS IS HELPING TO ENHANCE THE ATMOSPHERE OF CURE AND RECOVERY FOR THE CHILDREN THEY SERVE.
