THE FOUNDATION GAVE 35,000 TO THE BLESSED HOPE PROJECT, WHICH IS AN AFRICIAN NGO. THE GOAL OF THE BLESSED HOPE PROJECT IS TO CHANGE THE FACE OF THE KIERA SLUMS IN KENYA THROUGH EDUCATION. THE VISION OF THE PROJECT IS THAT GAINING AN EDUCATION WILL BECOME THE NORM FOR CHILDREN IN KIBERA RATHER THAN THE EXCEPTION. THE FIRST STEP OF THIS PROJECT WAS THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BLESSED HOPE PRIMARY SCHOOL, A SCHOOL WHICH HAS OVER 200 HUNDRED STUDENTS FROM AGES 2 TO 11 YEARS OLD. THE CURRICULUM CONSISTS OF MATHEMATICS, ENGLISH, SOCIAL STUDIES, AND SCIENCE, AND SWAHALI.
