THE SCHOOL PROVIDES A CATHOLIC COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAM TO THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO OTHERWISE MIGHT NOT AFFORD IT. THROUGH OUR CORPORATE WORK STUDY PROGRAM (CWSP), STUDENTS SPEND 1 DAY/WEEK WORKING FOR PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS IN CLEVELAND AND SPEND 4 DAYS/WEEK IN A COLLEGE PREP CURRICULUM.

SAINT MARTIN DE PORRES HIGH SCHOOL IS A CATHOLIC, CITY-BASED, COLLEGE-PREPARATORY, CO-EDUCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL WITH AN INTEGRATED WORK-STUDY PROGRAM. THE SCHOOL ENROLLS 400 STUDENTS, ALL OF WHOM PARTICIPATE IN THE WORK STUDY PROGRAM. ITS FUNDING IS OBTAINED FROM TUITION, THE WORK-STUDY PROGRAM (SEE 4B) AND DONATIONS. THE SCHOOL IS A MEMBER OF THE CRISTO REY NETWORK OF SCHOOLS. THE SCHOOL RECEIVED $216,853 OF DONATED GOODS NOT INCLUDED IN EXPENSES OR REVENUE.
THE SAINT MARTIN DE PORRES HIGH SCHOOL WORK STUDY PROGRAM (ALSO KNOWN AS THE CORPORATE WORK STUDY PROGRAM) ENABLES EACH STUDENT TO FINANCE A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF THE COST OF HIS OR HER EDUCATION AND AT THE SAME TIME OBTAIN SIGNIFICANT LEARNING AND MOTIVATIONAL BENEFITS.
