NORTHEAST LOUISIANA WORKFORCE CENTERS, INC. IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT WAS FORMED TO PROVIDE STAFFING SERVICES TO OPERATE THE BUSINESS AND CAREER SOLUTIONS CENTER IN THE PARISHES OF CALDWELL, EAST CARROLL, FRANKLIN, JACKSON, MADISON, MOREHOUSE, RICHLAND, TENSAS, UNION AND WEST CARROLL. THE OPERATION IS TO BE FUNDED BY WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARDS SDA-83, INC. AND 82, INC., IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE SERVICES REQUIRED BY THE WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT OF 1998 UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF LOUISIANA WORKFORCE COMMISSION. THE STAFF WILL PROVIDE CORE, INTENSIVE, AND TRAINING SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF THESE WORKFORCE INVESTMENT AREAS, TO ASSIST THEM IN OBTAINING THE WORKPLACE SKILLS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN EMPLOYMENT AND BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT, PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS AND TO PROVIDE THE LOCAL AND REGIONAL EMPLOYERS WITH A BETTER EDUCATED AND JOB READY WORKFORCE.

THESE FUNDS ARE USED TO SUPPORT A COMBINATION OF CAPACITY BUILDING AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES TO HELP LOUISIANA DELTA COLLEGE TRAIN INDIVIDUALS IN ADVANCED MANUFACTURING, A HIGH GROWTH/HIGH DEMAND INDUSTRY.
