IN RESPONSE TO GRANT REQUEST, THE IFSA AWARDED FUNDING OF 86,922 TO THE HOME FIRE SPRINKLER NETWORK - AUSTRALIA TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING THEIR EFFORTS TO EXPAND THE USE OF FIRE SPRINKLERS IN PROTECTING RESIDENTIAL OCCUPANCIES AND TO FURTHER PROMOTE THE ADOPTION OF THIS TECHNOLOGY AS A DEEMED TO SATISFY PROVISIONS WITHIN THEIR NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION CODE (NCC). THE GRANT INCLUDED 6,922 TO COVER THE COST OF VIRTUAL REALITY GOGGLES TO BE GIVEN OUT TO HELP DEMONSTRATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS.
THE IFSA AWARDED 40,000 TO THE LATIN AMERICAN FIRE PROTECTION NETWORK TO ASSIST ITS FORMATION AS A NONPROFIT BASED IN TEXAS.
