ASSIST THE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES COMMISSION OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY (THE COMMISSION) IN ENCOURAGING SELF-SUFFICIENCY OF ITS RESIDENTS, IMPLEMENTING PROGRAMS AND PLANS TO ASSIST IN THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THIS GOAL, PROVIDING SERVICES, VOLUNTEER ASSISTANCE, COORDINATION, MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION AS REQUESTED BY THE COMMISSION IN THESE AREAS. FOSTER AND RECEIVE DONATIONS OF EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, SUPPLIES AND OTHER GOODS FOR THE BENEFIT OF RESIDENTS OF THE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES COMMISSION TO ASSIST IN BREAKING THE CYCLE OF POVERTY FOR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED OR OTHER NEEDY PEOPLE.
