THE FIRST TEE OF PHOENIX WAS CREATED FOR THE PURPOSES OF PROVIDING AFFORDABLE ACCESS TO GOLF AND GOLF LEARNING FACILITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN MARICOPA COUNTY FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE, PARTICULARY THOSE WHO OTHERWISE MIGHT NOT HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY. THE FIRST TEE OF PHOENIX CURRENTLY IMPACTS OVER 150,000 YOUTHS EACH AT 17 FACILITIES AND 200 SCHOOLS AS PART OF THE NATIONAL SCHOOL PROGRAM OUTREACH INITIATIVE WITH ALLIED ORGANIZATIONS. IT WAS DESIGNED TO SERVE AS A PLACE FOR PARTICIPANTS TO LEARN VALUABLE LIFE SKILLS AND CHARACTER LESSONS THROUGH CREATIVE ACTIVITIES AND INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS THAT INCORPORATE THE TEACHING OF GOLF. THE GOAL OF THE FIRST TEE IS INCORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY, COURTESY, HONESTY, AND INTEGRITY INTO THE DAILY LIVES OF THOSE WHO PARTICIPATE. BY USING FUNDAMENTALS OF GOLF, THE FIRST TEE EQUIPS YOUTH WITH THE SKILLS NEEDED TO FOLLOW THEIR DREAMS, ADVANCE ACADEMICALLY AND ATHLETICALLY, STRENGHTEN THEIR SOCIAL ABILITIES AND BECOME PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY.
