THE MISSION OF THE COMMUNITY SERVICES FOUNDATION OF CECIL COUNTY IS TO FOSTER, SUPPORT AND DEVELOP PROGRAMS THAT ENHANCE THE WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN, FAMILIES, OLDER ADULTS AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, AND CECIL COUNTY'S ANIMAL POPULATION. THE FOUNDATION SEEKS TO SPEARHEAD INITIATIVES THAT ADDRESS THE GROWING NEEDS AND INTERESTS OF THE COMMUNITY. THE FOUNDATION WORKS IN TANDEM WITH THE CECIL COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES TO DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES AND PROGRAMS.

ANIMAL SERVICES: FUNDING FROM THE COMMUNITY SERVICES FOUNDATION OF CECIL COUNTY, INC., CONTRIBUTED TO THE MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH CECIL COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES. FUNDING ASSISTED IN THE CARE, FEEDING AND PROVISION OF MEDICAL SERVICES FOR THE OVER 3,500 ANIMALS BROUGHT INTO THE SHELTER IN FY23.


TRANSPORTATION SERVICES


NUTRITION AND FOOD DISTRIBUTION SERVICES: FUNDING FROM THE COMMUNITY SERVICES FOUNDATION OF CECIL COUNTY CONTRIBUTED TO NUTRITION AND HOME DELIVERED MEAL PROGRAMS AND FOOD SUPPLIES AND RESOURCES DISTRIBUTED THROUGH THE CECIL COUNTY HELP CENTER FOOD BANK. THIS FUNDING ASSISTED IN PROVIDING FOOD RESOURCES TO OVER 3,700 HOUSEHOLDS AND 9,100 INDIVIDUALS IN CECIL COUNTY IN FY23.


FAMILY VIOLENCE PROGRAMS:COMMUNITY SERVICES FOUNDATION FUNDING SUPPORTED PROGRAMS AND SERVICES UNDER THE BRIDGE, CECIL COUNTY'S DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND RAPE CRISIS CENTER, THE CECIL COUNTY CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER AND THE FAMILY VIOLENCE PROGRAM'S HUMAN TRAFFICKING INITIATIVE. FUNDING CONTRIBUTED TO SERVICES AND RESOURCES PROVIDED TO 35 VICTIMS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING, 145 CHILDREN SERVED THROUGH THE CECIL COUNTY CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER, 42 VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND 101 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVING SAFE SHELTER THROUGH THE BRIDGE. DONATED AND GRANT FUNDS ALSO SUPPORTED OPERATIONS AND BUILDING SUPPORT FOR THE BRIDGE.
