THE TRUST RECEIVES IN-KIND SUPPORT FROM NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO (NPR) IN THE FORM OF SATELLITE TRANSPONDER LEASE PAYMENTS PAID BY NPR ON THE TRUSTS BEHALF. THE SATELLITE LEASE IS ASSIGNED TO THE TRUST AND LEASED BACK TO NPR. THE TRUST ALSO PROVIDES ANNUAL FUNDING TO NPR TO REPAIR AND MAINTAIN THE SATELLITE INTERCONNECTION SYSTEM.
