FEDERAL AFFAIRS: THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTED ITS MEMBERS BY MONITORING AND ADVOCATING FOR FEDERAL TAX LEGISLATION AFFECTING ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE COMPANIES -- INCLUDING PUBLICLY TRADED PARTNERSHIPS -- BY EDUCATING MEMBERS OF CONGRESS AND THEIR STAFFS ABOUT ENERGY INFNRASTRUCTURE COMPANIES AND THEIR ECONOMIC CONTRIBUTION. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO MONITORED REGULATORY GUIDANCE ISSUED BY THE IRS AND THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT, AS WELL AS THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, FEDERAL ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION, AND THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION, AND WORKED TO ADDRESS ANY ISSUES RAISED BY SUCH GUIDANCE.
