THE ASSOCIATION COLLABORATES WITH TWO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO HOST AN ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CANCER EDUCATION CONFERENCE. THIS CONFERENCE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED TO MEET THE CHANGING NEEDS OF ONCOLOGY PROFESSIONALS WHO EDUCATE OTHERS AS PART OF THEIR PRACTICE. BY FOCUSING ON INTEGRATING THEORY INTO PRACTICE, IT IS THE INTENTION THAT THE CONFERENCE WILL EQUIP ALL PARTICIPANTS WITH THE NECESSARY TOOLS TO IMPROVE PATIENT OUTCOMES THROUGH EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE EDUCATION. IN 2022, THIS MEETING WAS HELD IN COLLEGE PARK, MARYLAND AND PARTICIPATION INCLUDED APPROXIMATELY 235 PERSONS FROM 11 COUNTRIES, INCLUDING BRAZIL, CANADA, FRANCE, ISRAEL, PALAU, PALESTINE, POLAND, PORTUGAL, USA, AND ZAMBIA.
THE ASSOCIATION PARTICIPATES IN ACTIVITIES THAT ESTABLISH AND PROMOTE GLOBAL CANCER EDUCATION INITIATIVES THROUGH CANCER EDUCATION, RESEARCH, AND NETWORKING PARTNERSHIPS AMONG NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CANCER EDUCATION ORGANIZATIONS.
THE ASSOCIATION HOSTS AN ONLINE COMMUNITY FORUM TO SUPPORT COMMUNICATION AMONG THEIR MEMBERS AND OPERATES A PROFESSIONAL, PEER-REVIEWED JOURNAL TO PROVIDE CANCER EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT AND SHARE THEIR PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE WITH THEIR PEERS. THE ASSOCIATION HOSTS PERIODIC WEBINARS ON TOPICS OF INTEREST TO ITS MEMBERS, AS WELL AS ISSUING A QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER WITH INFORMATION ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION'S ACTIVITIES, MEMBER-SUBMITTED NEWS ITEMS, JOB AND GRANT OPPORTUNITIES, AND UPCOMING EVENTS THAT MAY BE OF INTEREST TO MEMBERS.
